Rail DALI DMX not powering on

Hi
We purchased 3 Rail DALI DMXs and were just bench testing them.
Unfortunately we are unable to power on the device i.e. the red LED doesn't seem to come on. We tried giving both 5V DC as well as a 12V DC supply. I tried using a Jump Start to the device and it couldnt detect any units. Opening the device we even tested the electronic fuse and it has continuity.
This is there in all 3 units so not sure if I am doing something wrong.
The only difference as far as I can tell is that we havent connected it to a DALI network but I assume that the device should power on regardless.
Could someone shed some light on whats happening?

Hi,

It sounds like you are connecting everything correctly. Some obvious mistakes would be connecting power with the wrong polarity or connecting the 12V to the 5V input. You are correct to assume that the red power LED should come on regardless of whether there is a DALI Bus power supply connected or not.

Do you know the serial numbers of the units?
