Windows Activity Interferes with Art-Net Output

Hi,

I notice that if I am sending out Art-Net using DMX-Workshop or another Art-Net PC Application, opening and closing other application windows will interrupt Art-Net data flow.

Is there a way to fix this?

Hi,

You can prevent other windows applications from interfering with Art-Net output my changing the priority of your DMX-Workshop (or other Art-Net) application.

Go to the Windows Task Manager (ctl-alt-del). Click the Processes tab and find your Art-Net Process. Right-Click on the Process. Highlight the menu called Set Priority. Change the selection from Normal to Real-Time.

That should sort it out.
