problems with Micro-scope 2 or 3

Hi everybody,
i just got possetion of a Micro-scope 2.
i replaced the battery with a new one but when i turn it on the writing on the screen flashes and i can't do anything!
do you think there is something wrong with the battery?
info on battery are: NI-MH 3.6V 600 mAh
is it possible to update this item with the new moving lights & other equipment?

Hi,

It sounds like the battery regulator chip may be damaged. Call sales on +44 208 863 4515 to arrange for the unit to be serviced. Please have the serial number available so we can check if it is in warranty.
