Net-Lynx O/P with Kineme ArtDmx Sender 'blinking'

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help me? I'm using the Kineme ArtDmx Sender in Quartz Composer to output DMX to RGB LED lights via the Artistic Licence Net-Lynx O/P and I've had success using the 2.0.0.0/8 IP subnet to send DMX values from a basic patch. Unfortunately the DMX sent to the light 'blinks' to a different set of values every 3-4 seconds causing the light to change colour for a few tenths of a second before returning to the correct values.

This even happens when the ArtDmx Sender is set to blackout and whether short frames are selected or not.

Has anybody else experienced or solved this problem? Is there any network setting that could be causing this blinking?

Could using the 10.0.0.0/8 IP subnet instead possibly solve this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi,

The flicker may be happen if your fixtures are not fully DMX compliant and are thus seeing the RDM messages sent as DMX data.

The way to solve this is to turn off the RDM of the Net-Lynx O/P. Instructions for this will be in the Net-Lynx Manual.
