Hi,

I've had a couple of early DMX-Hubs (S/N 0066 and 005?) for some time now, courtesy of EBay, that work great talking to each other directly.

The DMX-Hubs don't show up as being there when I use DMX-Workshop on the PC. They don't appear to reply to Art Poll packets, which is a shame as I've started playing with Chamsys MagicQ that can output Artnet directly.

Is there a software update for these old beasts that implements the Art Poll reply so they could be used with MagicQ? I see they are built with a 'biscuit' PC and DOC2000 flash drive that I can easily read/write myself, if I had the DOS software to do the update.

Yours hopefully,
Neil

Hello,

It's good to hear the older units are still going after 10 years!!

The reason why they don't appear in DMX-Workshop is that they have the older firmware V1.3. Only V1.4 is compatible with DMX-Workshop and other Art-Net equipment.

Yes we can upgrade these units but we have to do it in the factory as there are a few minor PCB changes to be made.

If you arrange for them to be sent to us we can upgrade and service them for you. Before any work is carried out we will provide you with a quote for the work

Thanks

Simon
