hello,
on my micro-scope 3a the cable test function doesn´t work anymore.
single and double end. is there a way to do a reset on the tester?
I am posting from germany so I want to try things I can do here first,
before I send the unit in.
thanks

Powering off the Micro-Scope and powering it back on resets the Micro-Scope. If you send a dynamic in menu 10 and then go to menu 1 with a DMX cable connecting the input to the output you should be able to see the live DMX being sent. If this test doesn't work you probably have a hardware fault.

I tried this test as you suggested. I can see the Live DMX. but when I perform the cable test, still doesn´t work. single ended displays 2 and 3 good, even if there is no cable connected, double ended only reacts on pin1.

The single ended cable test looks for a short or termination on pins 2 and 3. If there is no cable connected it will read GOOD.
The double ended cable test should say: 1=1.. 2=.2. 3=..3
It shows both continuity and pin out. You may have a hardware fault if you are not getting this readout.

It sounds like you have a hardware fault. Sometimes the transceiver ICs get damaged and need to be replaced.
